Live Wedding Painting - Main Street Station, Richmond Virginia

In August 2022, I had the pleasure of adding my artistic touch to Nipa and Ankur's wedding extravaganza at the enchanting Main Street Station in Richmond, Virginia. Prepare for a nostalgic journey!

Nipa and I connected in early 2022. I had just recovered from COVID when her inquiry came as a welcome relief. When she mentioned that the venue was Main Street Station in Richmond, my interest was piqued. 

The goal was to capture the decor and emphasize Nipa and Ankur's union after their wedding ceremony - when they joined their hands and faced their guests. 

Richmond is a 2 hour drive from where I live . I left in the early hours of August 5th to reach the venue. The ceremony was supposed to start at 9 am . I reached the venue by 7 am . I was very curious to see how a very functioning railway station also functioned as a wedding venue . It did not disappoint and I was completely blown away by the decor by Abhishek Decorators and the beautiful architecture of the station . 

The venue and decor were absolutely stunning. It was a 1000 person wedding, which required meticulous planning. Nipa's vision and coordination brought everything together perfectly.

I captured the details that Nipa and I had agreed should be in the painting . I also took plenty of pictures of Nipa and Ankur during the ceremony and painted through the day . I completed the painting by the end of the night and was extremely pleased with the result. 

I took it back to the hotel room and varnished the next morning before I handed it to Nipa's cousin . 

Every wedding painting is a cherished moment for me . Every wedding has its own special moments and I remember each one fondly in its own unique way. Nipa was a joy to work with and I am so thankful she chose to work with me !
