Kunal and Chriselda

There's so much to unpack from this live painting that I did this in May 2023 at Hilton Hotel Short Pump , Richmond, Virginia . Kunal hired me to paint live at his wedding reception . This was a surprise for his lovely bride, Chriselda.

Richmond is a 2 hour drive away from me and so I packed up my car with all my supplies to paint live at their wedding reception.

Here’s a snippet of how the evening went . 

I walked into the ballroom , expecting a floral piece hung from the ceiling as Kunal described it to me. I wasn't expecting this ! The decor team created this fairytale for Kunal and Chriselda . The floral piece was a truss hung from the ceiling creating this stunning visual . The AV team transformed the lighting and everything came together for the festivities in the evening .

At the end of the night, I had a rockstar moment . I wish I had someone document it for me ! I was packing up at the end of the reception . Kunal’s father walked past me and had me come up to the dance floor . He had the DJ announce to everyone - 250+ guests - that everyone should check out the painting . My POV was amazing - me showing off the painting to all the guests.

Kudos to the amazing team that worked on this wedding ! What a delightful evening to have been a part of ! Thank you Kunal and Chriselda for having me paint at your wedding reception.
